Tämän tarinan tein nimenomaan Sarjis 2005 -kilpailua varten, joka oli Sarjakuvantekijät ry:n ja Egmontin järjestämä sarjakuvakilpailu. Se voittikin toisen palkinnon ja 3000 €. Kilpailun tarkoituksena oli testata suomalaisen nuorille suunnatun sarjakuvan tasoa, ja tuloksena oli varsin laadukas albumi.
Siili-tarina syntyi itse asiassa jo kaksi vuotta ennen sarjakuvaa, jolloin kirjoitin sen saduksi. Sarjakuva onkin suunnattu nuorille nuorille vaikka epäilen, että vanhemmatkin saattavat saada siitä jotain irti.
This story was specifically made for the Sarjis 2005 Finnish Comics Competition which was arranged by Sarjakuvantekijät ry. (the Finnish society for comic artists) and Egmont Finland. My comic won 2nd prize and 3000 €. The purpose of the competition was to test the quality of youth-oriented Finnish comics and the result was a very impressive album.
The story of The Adult Hedgehog actually emerged two years prior to the comic as a fairy tale I wrote. Naturally the comic is also directed at the younger end of the youth spectrum although I suspect even people of my age and above can appreciate it.
